Be a Friend! Your help is needed to continue the extras that local, state and federal funds cannot cover. The Friends hold book sales 3-4 times a year and sell excellent quality books in the Fran Roesch Book Store in the library's lobby. Without volunteers, we cannot provide our community with the best and most current materials so our citizens can continue to grow in knowledge.
We are sending renewal notices in January to individual and family members. We hope to have those back to us by early February, so that we can plan our year's projects and programs. If you did not receive a renewal notice in the mail, you still can renew by printing the form below, completing it and sending it with a check to the FONL. If you are not a member, we would love to have you participate with us in supporting the Navarre Library. Please print and fill out the form and mail it to FONL.
Membership in Friends of Navarre Library is a statement of support for the library, for reading and education, and for the Navarre community. Funds help purchase books, materials and equipment that otherwise would not be available to the library, which is a leading member of the Santa Rosa County Library System. The Friends also promote community education through its monthly Lore, Legends and Learning program and support children’s programs throughout the year, including the popular “Summer Reading Program”.
Members may serve as volunteers to operate the book store, which sells donated books, magazines, audio and video tapes and disks. Members also are encouraged to participate in business meetings of the board of directors.
